The Wolf You Feed
The Wolf You Feed
Inside every one of us are two wolves. One is anger, fear, resentment, regret. The other is hope, courage, strength, and loyalty. The one that wins? It's the one you feed.
This old Cherokee parable sparked some powerful conversation. We dug into what it means to "feed" these wolves in our everyday lives- not just through big decisions, but in the subtle, quiet ways we respond to stress, relationships, and even our own inner voice. Some group members realized they were feeding the wrong wolf without noticing- through negative self talk, isolation, or distraction. Others recognized moments they had chosen differently- and the strength it took.
The truth is, we all carry both wolves. No one's immune. But what matters most is which one we nurture- through habits, community, and the stories we tell ourselves.
In group, we're not trying to achieve perfection- we're learning to notice and to respond differently, and not to let the stronger wolf be the one that brings misery with it.
This week we left with the question: What are you feeding- and what are you starving?
